Shire of Wyewood's Rapier Bubba Plate Tournament

It is time once again to compete for the Shire of Wyewood's famed Rapier Bubba Plate!! "A plate," you say, "that is what we are competing for?" Yes indeed, do I say, a plate that is well worth killing one's adversaries over, for this plate is special in that whenever it is brought to a Wyewood event or an event that Wyewood is officially at, it becomes covered in food!! Not just any food either, but the delectable edibles that the Shire of Wyewood is renowned for!

"So then how does this competition go?" you ask? Continue reading, my friend!

It is to be fought in three parts: a duel of words, a duel to first blood, and a duel to the death.

1. The Duel of Words:

The duel of words is to be fought in the eric with either your wit or from a parchment available to be drawn, from which you will banter with your opponent until one of you concedes the match or a draw is determined. (Ladies of the court will determine the winner in the case of a draw.) NOTE: The content of this tournament is to be kept CIVIL as proper gentlemen or ladies of the court would be speaking. (Racial or modern slurs will NOT be allowed and will be considered a cause of forfeit of the fight.) May I suggest some Shakespeare instead?

2. The Duel to First Blood:

This is a duel to first blood in which all fencing legal weapons are allowed and the combatant to first wound his or her opponent will win the fight. Should a combatant kill his or her opponent, the fighter will lose the fight.

3. The Duel to the Death:

This is a standard fight to the death in which all fencing legal weapons are allowed and the combatant to first kill his/her opponent will win the fight. Double deaths will not be re-fought and are mutually destructive.

The victor of the tournament will be determined from the results of all three tournaments. If need be, a final round-robin will be fought to determine the final winner, who will then be awarded the Shire of WyewoodÕs Rapier Bubba plate for the space of a year.

After the victor has proved prowess in combat, he or she will then be provided with a seat with his or her inspiration at the head table for the feast later in the day in which they will be treated to the magnificent culinary arts within the shire.

The Royal Patrons of the Shire of Wyewood, Earl Cire and Countess Elisabeth, request that the holder of the plate be willing to represent the Shire proudly and help support its activities over the duration of the year.
