Celebration at Sheepstow Heavy Tournament Lists
All Heavy Fighting to take place at the Erics.
FRIDAY
- DUSK: Armor Inspection Begins for the No Shield, Torch Light Tournament
- DARK: No Shield, Torch Light Tournament Begins
SATURDAY
- 9am: Armor Inspection Begins for the Great Weapon Tournament.
- 9:30am: Great Weapon Tournament Begins.
- 10:30am: Armor Inspection Begins for the Open Weapon, Counted Blows Tournament.
- 11am: Open Weapon, Counted Blows Tournament Begins.
- 1pm: Armor Inspection Begins for the Barrier Tournament.
- 1:30pm: Barrier Tournament Begins
- 2:30pm: Armor Inspection Begins for the Grand Melee Tournament.
- 3pm: Grand Melee Tournament Begins.
- 4:30pm: Heavy Fighting Ends.
- 5pm: All Heavy Fighters and all Heavy gear MUST BE removed from the List Fields.
SUNDAY
No Fighting due to Field and time constraints.
No Shield, Torch Light Tournament
- Format: Double Elimination or Round Robin depending on attendance. Double Kills are refought.
- Combat Conventions: SCA Standard, No shields allowed. Madus (in the proper sense) are shields, a spear is not.
- Special Notes: When the semi-Finals are announced, a 5 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume. When the Finals are announced, a 10 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume.
Great Weapon Tournament
- Format: Depending on the number of combatants at the time of the tournament, this may be either a single, double or a round robin elimination format. Double kills will be refought.
- Combat conventions: Using standard SCA blow conventions, Combatants will only be allowed to fight with 2 handed weapons over 6 feet in length, but not longer than 7.5 feet in length.
- Special Notes: When the Finals are announced, a 10 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume.
Open Weapon, Counted Blows Tournament
- Format: Double Elimination Tournament
- Combat Conventions: Standard SCA Weapons will be used. Both combatants shall continue fighting until one fighter has delivered 3 blows to his opponent. In the case that the third stoke should be a double kill resulting in a 3 blow/3 blow tie, a fourth blow shall be fought.
- Special Notes: When the semi-Finals are announced, a 5 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume. When the Finals are announced, a 10 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume.
Barrier Tournament
- Format: 2 Round Robins on 2 Barriers. Top 4 advance. Round Robin Finals. If Final Round Robin is a tie, Single elimination, at the Barrier, by order of Precedence
- Combat Conventions: Any single-handed SCA Weapon maybe used. Both combatants shall continue fighting until one fighter has delivered 3 blows to his opponent, the off-hand must remain grabbing the barrier at all times. Removal of a combatant's off hand shall count as an opponents blow. Targeting an opponents off hand is discouraged. In the case that the third stoke should be a double kill resulting in a 3 blow/3 blow tie, a fourth blow shall be fought.
- Special Notes: When the semi-Finals (Top 4 Advance) are announced, a 10 minute rest period will be taken, then combat shall resume.
Grand Melee Tournament
- Format: Best 3 out of 5 Melee battles; Captains for each side will be chosen by Order of Precedence
- Combat Conventions: Normal SCA Rules and Conventions Apply. No Death From Behind.
- Special Notes: The Sides will be chosen School Yard Style. All the fighters will line up, The 2 Highest Ranking Fighters will step out in front of the line and alternate picking fighters to their side. Captains may only choose one fighter at a time. Knights must be chosen last. Fighting should continue until 4:30 pm at which time all fighters should begin re moving their gear from the field.
