I have had whiplash a couple of times — car accidents, of course — but I never, ever, hadthis treatment for it.

Someone told me I should blog this, and he was right: Apparently Mary K. LeTourneau appears ib the Washington Assessment of Student Learning test as an answer, and the Superintendent of Public Instruction is up in arms about it.

Who killed micro radio? It looks like Low Power FM isn’t going to happen. But FCC regulations were killing it anyway.

Alex Rodriguez is returning to Safeco Field for the first time today. There will be many boos. I guess I’ll be booing from my seat in front of the TV, since I don’t have tickets. But I loved this quote from Mariners president Chuck Armstrong: “Alex doesn’t like to hit with the roof open. If we can possibly leave it open, we’ll leave it open.”

Let’s hope for some nice cold (but dry) Seattle weather to make it as hard as possible for Alex to show off.

Joey Ramone is dead. I can’t really say much except we’ll miss you Joey — gabba gabba hey.

When I first ordered from HomeGrocer.com a couple of years ago, I asked the delivery guy if I should tip him. he smiled and said “No, we’re not allowed to accept tips — we have stock options!” Since then, HomeGrocer has been acquired by Webvan, and Webvan stock is trading at 12 cents a share and will be delisted from NASDAQ. I feel sorry for those delivery folks.

A rather condescending dismissal of Kozmo.com users, from John Cook of the P-I. He does, however, quote someone I know.

Kozmo.com goes under. I’m disappointed. I did use Kozmo sometimes; who else would deliver Ben & Jerry’s ice cream? Someone on Metafilter had an amusing comment about it:

“My question is what will stoners do in the future. Kozmo was a service built to service their needs.”

Everyone’s linking to this, but I can’t help it — it’s way to good not to link to. The Justice League of America has posted job openings.

I may never eat from a salad bar again.
