Tiger, 1986-2006

admin

We lost our kitty, Tiger, today. (I posted about her 20th birthday a few months ago.) Tiger came to us almost exactly 10 years ago, when her original owners didn’t want her any more (how this could be, I have no idea). She has been the best cat one could ever imagine. Jason and I miss her so much. (The photo on the left is Tiger looking out the window on Sunday, taken from outside, hence the reflections on the glass.)

(By the way, she was an indoor cat — the outdoor pics were taken this weekend when we let her out in the warm sun as a special treat. It really did seem to make her happy and give her an extra bit of energy for a while.)

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. I had no idea cats could live so long – clearly Tiger was a very, very happy cat.

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog – I really loved the pattern and I’ve downloaded some of your others to knit too. The instructions are so clear, a real joy to knit!

This was my first experience of Knit Picks yarn (if only they would ship to the UK!), and I think the Alpaca is lovely. Very soft and warm, and easy to knit.

  2. Thank you. Tiger was a Manx kitty and I have read that they tend to be long-lived.

I am glad to hear that the pattern made sense! I try to write them carefully, but sometimes it’s still hard to know if my writing will make sense for others. ๐Ÿ™‚ The wristwarmers you made look lovely!

  3. I’m so sorry to hear this. Hugs to all of you. We had our oldest cat (who passed away five years ago) from when he was 6 weeks old until he was 17, and it’s very difficult to get used to losing someone who has been part of your life for so long.
