“Losing your job, quitting school, going broke and moving back home with your mother after living abroad for years would be tough on anyone.

“It’s even tougher when you’re a former military dictator who once had the power to execute opponents at will.”
Sounds kind of like a sitcom pilot, to me.

I really want a Vespa of my own some day. They are too expensive, though, so instead, I will just have to settle for this.

This is pretty much the cutest car ever.

Driving one of them around would be like riding in Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Disneyland, I think. Make sure you click through the slideshow to see the other pictures of it. This car makes the Mini look tough!

Grrr. Blogger is generating errors when I try to publish today’s posts. Who knows when this will actually get posted on the web site?

Wow, I did a lot of work on the Rubber Trouble site this weekend. No big obvious changes, just a ton of small stuff — taking/editing/color correcting photos, writing copy, editing the database, etc. Oh, yeah, I made two new sheets of rubber stamp designs that are on their way to the vulcanizer even as I type. So I shouldn’t feel like a slacker, but for some reason there is a part of me that always does when I spend time working on the RT site. It’s work, it’s a job, dammit. Just because I’m the boss doesn’t mean I’m slacking!

A while ago Jason and I were driving past a Key Bank site, a mere 2 minutes away from home, and noticing the Master Use Permit board that said it would be torn down and replaced with some sort of retail/food business. I suggested that it would be a fine, fine place for a Krispy Kreme donut shop. Well, surprise! It will be!

Jason’s comment to a friend online after this news came in: “Wendi is gonna get SOOOOO fat.” It will be dangerous….

Taste-testing new Coca-Cola products. And not enjoying it much.

Sometimes I think I should just move somewhere else. The 6.8 quake last year was enough for one lifetime, for me.
